Tammy Gibson, founder of Sankofa TravelHer is a black history traveler that locates historical sites. Gibson has visited slave plantations, slept in slave quarters, located and documented enslaved and African American cemeteries that have been neglected. Her mission is to raise awareness of the importance of black historical sites. Gibson's motto is "Black History Is More Than 28 Days."
